Join Professor Alison Halsall (York University, Toronto), the 2026–7 Lewis Carroll Visiting Fellow, for an illuminating talk on how Lewis Carroll and his illustrator John Tenniel collaboratively developed pioneering visual storytelling techniques. Drawing on archival research at the intersection of visual narrative, childhood readership, and 19th-century illustration, Professor Halsall reveals how their partnership laid foundations for today’s transmedia storytelling. The Lewis Carroll Visiting Fellowship is jointly offered by the Bodleian Libraries and Christ Church, Oxford.
