The Spin presents: Kate Williams Trio plus special guest Gareth Lockrane 🎹🎶

The Spin welcomes back — after far too long a hiatus — the fabulous pianist Kate Williams with her long-established trio, joined by the outrageously talented multi-flautist Gareth Lockrane. Doors open at 7:30pm with the performance from 8:30pm at Tap Social in Botley.

What to expect:

🎹 A long-awaited return for a British jazz treasure — Kate Williams has released a string of critically acclaimed albums, and in 2020 won the Parliamentary Jazz Award for Album of the Year for Finding Home; her latest, On The Wing Of A Dragonfly, arrived in May 2026 to widespread acclaim

🪈 A special guest on flute — Award-winning flautist, composer and arranger Gareth Lockrane joins the trio for the night, bringing his multi-flute virtuosity to the line-up of Oli Hayhurst (bass) and David Ingamells (drums)

🎼 A varied programme — Expect music from On The Wing Of A Dragonfly alongside pieces by A.C. Jobim, Bill Evans, Fats Waller and Mulgrew Miller, in the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere of Tap Social
