Post-modern Coding and Cryptography โ Securing the Quantum Internet ๐๐
Join the BCS Oxfordshire Annual Christmas Lecture with speaker Richard Pinch, retired civil servant and mathematician, as he explores how coding theory and cryptography intersect with the emerging challenges of the quantum internet. This hybrid event combines in-person attendance at Rewley House with online participation.
Pinch will discuss how error-correction techniques are helping to build practical quantum circuits and how new cryptographic ideas based on error correction are providing a new generation of quantum-resistant security.
What to expect:
- ๐ Insights into coding theory and its surprising role in quantum computing
- ๐ Exploration of quantum-resistant cryptography and future internet security
- ๐ค Expert lecture by Richard Pinch, blending mathematics, cybersecurity, and real-world applications
