Cities for Everyone ๐Ÿ™๏ธ๐ŸŒ

Urban areas around the world are facing a paradoxical future: while some cities are growing rapidly, others are shrinking due to ageing populations and declining birth rates. This talk by Dr Rafael Prieto-Curiel (Complexity Science Hub Vienna) examines how cities can adapt to these contrasting trends and become more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable.

Drawing on his work with the OECD, World Bank, and previous research at the University of Oxford, Dr Prieto-Curiel will discuss spatial and demographic dynamics, urban mobility, and the socio-economic factors shaping the future of metropolitan regions.

What to expect:

  • ๐ŸŒ† Insights into urban expansion and demographic decline
  • ๐Ÿ“Š Data-driven analysis of city planning and population trends
  • ๐ŸŒฑ Strategies for building sustainable and inclusive urban environments
